Our New Spine MT-Core Has Arrived!

We’re excited to announce that the Spine MT-Core Spinal Decompression System has arrived at Simply Health.

Non-surgical spinal decompression has been used in clinical practice for more than two decades, but recent advances in technology have made treatments more comfortable, precise and responsive than ever before. The Spine MT-Core, developed in South Korea, combines these innovations into a sophisticated rehabilitation system designed to support people living with disc injuries and degenerative spinal conditions.

If you’ve been struggling with persistent neck or lower back pain, here’s everything you need to know.

What is the Spine MT-Core?

The Spine MT-Core is a multi-functional spinal rehabilitation system that combines:

  • Non-surgical spinal decompression
  • Spinal mobilisation
  • Gentle heat therapy

Together, these therapies are designed to reduce pressure on spinal discs and joints, improve mobility and help relax surrounding muscles.

One of its standout features is its intelligent biofeedback technology. Rather than applying a constant pulling force, the system continuously monitors your body’s natural muscle activity and adjusts the treatment accordingly. This allows muscles to relax during treatment, making each session gentle, comfortable and personalised.

What conditions may benefit?

Spinal decompression may be suitable for people experiencing:

  • Disc bulges and disc herniations
  • Degenerative changes affecting the spine
  • Persistent neck or lower back pain associated with these conditions
  • Sciatica
  • Nerve irritation caused by spinal disc problems – this may lead to arm or leg symptoms

Before recommending treatment, we perform a comprehensive assessment to determine whether spinal decompression is appropriate for your individual condition.

Which areas can be treated?

The Spine MT-Core can treat both the cervical spine (neck) and lumbar spine (lower back). Treatment is targeted to the specific spinal level requiring decompression, allowing for a highly individualised approach.

Is treatment painful?

Most patients describe treatment as relaxing and comfortable. Many even find it an enjoyable opportunity to unwind while the system gently works to reduce pressure through the spine.

How long does a session take?

Treatment appointments are approximately 30 minutes, making them easy to fit into a busy day.

When can I expect to notice improvement?

Every person heals at their own pace, depending on the nature and duration of their condition.

Many patients begin noticing improvements after three to four treatments, while longer-standing conditions typically require a structured course of care. A treatment program of around 12 weeks is commonly recommended to achieve the best results.

Can treatment reduce a disc bulge?

Emerging research suggests that non-surgical spinal decompression may reduce the size of some lumbar disc herniations in appropriately selected patients.

In a randomized controlled trial involving patients with subacute lumbar disc herniations, those receiving 10 spinal decompression treatments over eight weeks demonstrated a significantly greater reduction in disc herniation size on follow-up MRI than the control group.

Approximately 27% of patients achieved more than a 50% reduction in disc herniation size.

While these findings are encouraging, individual results vary and no treatment can guarantee a specific outcome. Our focus is to reduce pain, improve function and support your body’s natural healing process.

How can I maximise my results?

Like any rehabilitation program, the best outcomes occur when treatment is combined with healthy habits.

Your personalised care plan may include:

  • Individualised rehabilitation exercises
  • Postural and ergonomic advice
  • Lifestyle recommendations
  • Nutritional guidance
  • Home care strategies to support long-term spinal health

Our goal isn’t simply to help you feel better—it is to help you move better, function better and stay well.
